This is the most exciting thing that’s happened to me in my publishing career thus far.
(Of course, if you’re a subscriber to my newsletter, you already know. You would have found this out first. And then, if you followed my Twitter or Instagram, you’d be shortly behind – scroll down to find the relevant stuff for signing up and following in the footer.)
So, a short story of mine, Broken Blue, has been bought by Strange Horizons magazine! It’s coming out early January. Please check their website for the link, I will be adding it to my social media as soon as it’s released.
I’m so happy. Broken Blue was one of those speculative stories I was struck by as I walked towards the train and saw a man with a dog. The opening line jumped into my head, and it went from there.
I can’t wait to hear what people thought of my weird, quiet tale.
By the way, if I had to choose a magazine to be my first pro-rate, international sale, this would be it. Strange Horizons has been doing great things in the community, and if you haven’t been keeping an eye on them, please start!
